About this course
Applicants will be graduates or able to provide evidence that they can work at postgraduate level. They must have previous relevant experience and be able to undertake studies and related developments in their workplace setting or other appropriate agency.

Syllabus
The MEd programme is comprised of six courses contributing to a total of 180 credit points at SCQF Level 11 (PG5).
- Course 1: Personal Effectiveness and Professionalism (15 credits SCQF Level 11).
- Course 2: Education for the Global Society (15 credits at SCQF Level 11).
- Course 3: Enhanced Practice in Learning and Teaching (30 credits at SCQF Level 11).
- Course 4: Professional Enquiry (30 credits at SCQF Level 11).
- Course 5: Exploring Professionalism and Educational Leadership (30 credits at SCQF Level 11).
- Course 6: Dissertation or Work-based Project (60 credits at SCQF Level 11).
Assessment
Formative assessment is a feature of all courses. Formative and summative assessments are designed to arise naturally from the work. Assignments focus directly on workplace applications.
