For 2010 entry: 300 UCAS points from 3 A levels or equivalent
For 2011 entry: 320 UCAS points from 3 A levels or equivalent
Preferred subjects: English Literature, Economics, Sociology, History, Business Studies, Communication Studies, English Language, Psychology, Media Studies and Drama/Theatre Studies
Recommended GCSEs: A minimum requirement of 5 GCSE's A* - C including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications

The BA (Hons) Advertising and Marketing Communications degree at Bournemouth University is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

This course evaluates the management of marketing communications with a particular focus on advertising.

It is complemented by a perspective on communication, media and marketing methods.

Many of the teaching team have previously worked in marketing companies and large advertising agencies. There are close links with industry and an extensive programme of guest lectures delivered by well-known outside speakers, to accompany academic study. Teamwork, group presentations and working on live briefs encourage individual development and preparation for future careers.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Graduates of this course can enter the CIM qualification system at professional postgraduate diploma level.
