What is this course about? A practical course for advice and guidance workers - particularly relevant to practitioners working in the new Information Advice and Guidance partnerships.As This is a work base qualification you need to be in paid employment list information, advice and guidance (IAG). We ask you to provide evidence of hire in a letter from your employer.

What will I study? A practical course for guidance and advice workers to develop skills and understanding: includes interviewing guidance clients, referral, managing information and codes of practice.
It covers:

Establishing contact with clients.

Guidance interviews.

Information systems and providing information to clients.

Action planning.

Referral procedures and networking.

Evaluatiing and developing your own work.

Portfolio building session.

, , There will be practical assessments, including workplace visits. You need to get permission from your supervisor to be assessed at work. There will also be some written assignments. You will need to build a portfolio of evidence and present this within 18 months of registration to complete the course.,
