About this course
Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance. A GCSE in both English and science and one further subject at grade 4 or above (C), in addition you will require a minimum of GCSE maths at grade 6 (B).
Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Course programme
Year 1
A range of subjects will be studied and assessed during year one of this programme. These include: the science of flight, aircraft electrical and electronic systems, aircraft radar and radio, aircraft instrumentation, human factors in aircraft engineering, engineering design along with core subjects such as engineering mathematics, electrical and mechanical principles.
Year 2In year two you will undertake a major project which may involve practical work on the College aeroplane, aircraft instrumentation, avionics, aircraft electrical machines, aircraft mechanical science and further engineering mathematics.
