The Programme:
Future managers in land-based and rural businesses will be required to balance their business objectives with societal and political demands, both of which are set to change at a rapid pace.

What you study:
To develop strategic decision making skills students will study:

• Principles of strategic management.
• Economics of international food and energy markets.
• Resource and environmental management.
• European and world agricultural policies.
• Food chain studies.

The final dissertation will enable you to study a particular area of interest in depth and may include the opportunity to undertake research in an agricultural business setting.

Special Features:
A combination of distance learning and block study periods at College will be used, with full tutor support throughout. This mode of delivery will allow students to engage in employment whilst they study.
