This part-time programme is offered to students who are employed full-time in the industry, and who wish to study on a day release basis. The course places an emphasis on practical business skills together with management theory and understanding. Particularly suitable for students progressing to farm management, and eventually running a farm business.

Course programme

Whilst at work you will receive comprehensive training in the management of a farm/farm enterprise; this will enable you to carry out the jobs required by your employer. You will be visited at the workplace by a Trainer Assessor, to check on your progress, and to ensure that you are building evidence towards your final qualification. City & Guilds Diploma in Work-Based Agricultural Business Management. This is divided in two parts: Farm enterprise (matched to your farm employment) Business and financial management Edexcel BTEC Level 4 Certificate in Project Management for Land-Based Industries
