Objectives:
· To develop and provide course delegates with an understanding of all aspects of Air Conditioning Systems, recognition and operation of major components, system layouts and fault finding.

· To gain certification in "SAFE HANDLING OF REFRIGERANTS".

Day One:
(Demonstration, practice and use of Specialist Equipment used throughout the day).
* Welcome and introductions.
* Setting and Workshop expectations.
* Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
* Changes of state, pressure, heat transfer, humidity and temperature.
* Best practice for refrigerants and their safe handling.
* Data sheets.
* Basic principles of system operation and layout.
* Major components.
* Diagnostic and service procedures.
* Operating the Air Conditioning Service Unit.
Day Two:
(Demonstration, practice and use of Specialist Equipment used throughout the day)
* Review day one.
* Continue using the Air Conditioning Service Unit.
* Specialist test equipment.
Recovery Unit/Sniffer Leak Detector/Die Injection Leak Detector/Refrigerant Identifier/Temperature Probe/Valve
Core Replacement Tool.
* Performance test.
Initial Set Up/Vehicle System Diagnosis/Refrigerant Recovery/System Evacuation/Re-Charging The Vehicle/Check
And Disconnect/Adding Oil To A/C System.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting.
* Overview of climate control systems.
* Temperature/Pressure/Humidity chart.
* Unit conversion table.
