A programme designed to enable students who have passed Level One or equivalent to further their air travel studies to a higher level and to gain a further IATA qualification.
Students will become proficient in more complicated fare construction and ticketing procedures, important skills particularly in the field of BusinessTravel (Travel Management).
On completion of this module, students will be able to:
- Construct fares for multi-sector journeys, applying the mileage system, higher intermediate points and minimum fare checks
- Apply add-ons to construct unpublished fares
- Calculate fares for journeys with surface sectors
- Calculate fares for journeys involving side trips
- Construct special fares for multi-sector journeys with and without surface sectors
- Assess fares for journeys involving different classes of travel
- Complete automated and manual fare calculation areas
Daytime (1½ days per week): 6 weeks
Evenings: 6 weeks
Saturdays: 8 weeks
