To educate delegates in the correct application of manual handling tasks. At the end of this course, delegates should want to perform manual handling correctly. They will have a background knowledge of the legislation that is there to protect them. Have an understanding of biomechanics and ergonomics. Be able to demonstrate the correct use of equipment such as slings and hoists, glide sheets and lateral transfer boards. Suitable for: All staff and supervisors in the care industry.

The All Wales Manual Handling Passport is a prerequisite in social care. Many injuries in care are attributed to poor manual handling. In line with the All Wales Manual Handling Passport, our instructors are qualified nurses or back care advisors registered with the National Back Exchange. Our classes hold a maximum of 6, again, this is in line with the All Wales Manual Handling Passport. We have fully equipped training facilities in Miskin Manor, Pontyclun. Castle House, Fforestfach, Swansea and Caslte Road, Tredegar.
