Allergy Awareness
This is a one day allergy awareness course as required.

Course Content
The delegate will be taught in the following key areas based on common procedures. The course will be tailored to individual workplaces where appropriate. Areas include:
· Types of allergies and how they occur
· Dealing with unconsciousness
· Treating someone who has stopped breathing and whose heart has stopped
· Recognising allergic reaction
· How to help a poisoned casualty
· Obtaining advanced medical assistance
· Use of emergency medical equipment e.g. epi-pen

Delegates will be continually assessed by their tutor throughout the course.
Who is the course for?
The course can be tailored to the client's specific requirements and type of equipment they have. If this equipment is to be purchased you may want to source it through the Kawns shop.

Is the course accredited?
Currently the Kawns course is not accredited by the HSE. This course is certificated and upon successful completion the qualification lasts for three years.

Where can I attend a course?
Open courses can be run centrally in our comprehensive training facility at Gosport (see below for dates). By arrangement we can provide you with bespoke in-house courses to suit your specific training needs.
How much will the course cost?
Cost per Person: £110 + vat.
