The program has been designed and developed by the Adult Migrant English Service (AMES) of the New South Wales TAFE, a State Government owned education provider in Australia. The Government certification ensures standards and quality. These are 300 hours of online programs divided in six levels starting from basic and progressing through to advanced programs. This includes 60 hours of content delivered through a mobile app. The program is delivered online and can be undertaken in a self-paced manner as the user has access to the program for 12 months from the date of enrolment. In the beginning of a course is an adaptive test that decides the initial level of English language proficiency of the student and allocates the student to the appropriate WWE course level.

About this course

The AMES English programs have been designed to teach adolescents and adults how to communicate in English. It is based on the program that is used to help migrants improve their English skills in order to better assimilate into Australian society. Users that successfully complete the WWE program are able to undertake the program that provides specialist workplace communication training- written and spoken, which is an advanced program aimed at improving communication skills in the workplace. Improves English language proficiency and increases employability in a range of industries.
The program does not replace the IELTS program but helps users to prepare for the IELTS program. Successful completion of WWE 6 gives the user the English language proficiency of users at IELTS Level 5.5.

The AMES offerings have been used to teach English language skills to thousands of migrants and include special programs for hospitality, front office skills and workplace English skills. The AMES programs are suitable for candidates looking to work in Multinationals, BPOs, retail, hospitality and other services industries or in roles that require advance verbal and written communication skills in English. It is also suitable for users intending to work overseas or migrate. The program thus aims at increasing employability for any Industry.
