Where will it take me? The aim of the this qualification is to provide you, if you have no previous knowledge of the subject, with a grounding in the correct construction, recognition and usage of medical terminology. You may progress onto Level 3 of the Award.
What's it all about? The course consists of 1 unit.
Subjects studied will include:
- Structure of medical terms
- Prescribed prefixes, roots and suffixes
- Terminology of prescribed body structures and systems
- Diseases, conditions, clinical procedures and investigations
- Pathology and x-ray investigations and procedures

Correct spelling of medical terminology is a requirement for this qualification.
How will I be assessed? Examinations are held in January and June.
