Overview

The aim of this short module is to raise understanding and awareness of the safety issues associated with welding. Upon completion learners will be aware of a range of key issues, including: the four main types of welding;

  • the four main types of welding;
  • appropriate protective equipment;
  • safety tips relating to the work area, equipment, fumes & ventilation and confined spaces;
  • First Aid.

 
Structure

The module is structured into a number of learning activities which are supported by graphics, animations and a challenge.
