About the Level 4 Advanced Anatomy and Physiology Certificate
There is so much to be learnt about the human body that it couldn’t possibly be squeezed into one single qualification. This is why we have developed the Advanced Anatomy and Physiology course – to help students build on the knowledge they gained in the standard Anatomy and Physiology course. While this Level 4 programme brushes on some of the topics in the Level 3 course, the material offers a deeper insight into the workings of the human body.
The course material is spread over 10 engaging home study modules. These modules each focus on different aspects of the human body. From the skeletal system, joints, the heart and the brain to neurons and the voluntary and reflex actions of the autonomic nervous system, this qualification will provide learners with a fundamental understanding of our anatomy.
Who should study this course?
This Stonebridge College course has been primarily designed for students who have completed the Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology course who want to expand on their existing knowledge. If students have not completed the Level 3 qualification, we do recommend they do this first.
However, it is worth noting that this is not essential. If students have studied some modules in anatomy before, or they feel confident tackling the higher level distance learning material, then they are welcome to enrol on this human physiology online course.
What happens after the course?
On successful completion of this anatomy and physiology online home learning course, which is accredited by ABC Awards, students will be sent a certificate for their records. This certificate will prove to possible employers or further education institutions that the student has a good grounding in anatomy..
Students who want to study anatomy or medicine at a higher level may consider progressing on to an Access to Higher Education Diploma (Medicine and Health Care Professions)

Furthermore, at the end of each lesson there is a question paper that needs to be completed and returned to your tutor. You should allow at least 1 - 2 hours of study to complete each question paper.
