This is a one year distance learning course. The course is suitable for beginners with a high standard of written English. The course covers all aspects of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology and culminates in a 3 hour written exam at the School.
Students will be forwarded course work for the Distance Learning Anatomy and Physiology training course over a six month period. Students are required to submit homework at the end of each one month period. The examination is approximately 10 months after the start of the course.
Prerequisites
A good level of English and the ability to work autonomously are essential for completing this study programme.
The course is assessed by:
Mock exam attended at the School
Theoretical examination 3 hour duration attended at the School
Background reading is expected throughout the course
Continual assessment through assignment work
Examination
Students will be expected to attend a mock examination approximately one month before the final examination. At the end of the course, candidates will sit a 3-hour theory paper in Anatomy & Physiology at the School.
Qualifications
On Satisfactory completion of the course the successful candidate will be awarded with the Aromatherapy and Allied Practitioners' Association's (A.A.P.A.) Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology. He/she will also receive a Diploma from The Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies.
Course Fees
The Distance Learning Human Anatomy and Physiology training course, including handouts is £295 (Instalment Plan available, see application form for details). There is a examination fee of £40 payable six weeks before the examination.

Course programme
How Long is the Course?
The course is taught one day per month for 6 months after which students attend an examination day. The complete course including exams takes 1 year.
How is the Course Taught?
Visual learning aids, lectures and tutorials are used to teach the theory side of Anatomy & Physiology.
Course Requirements
Students need to bring pens, paper, coloured pencils and clear, puched plastic wallets for course notes. Neat and tidy notes are mandatory and are counted towards the final mark.
The course is assessed by:

- Theoretical examination 3 hour duration
- Background reading is expected throughout the course
- Continual assessment through assignment work
Home Study
An integral part of the course is time spent in home study. An important feature of this certificate course is the continuous assessment and support of the students. The school expects a high level of student commitment throughout the course, both in and out of school.
Examination
At the end of the course, candidates will sit a 3-hour theory paper in Anatomy & Physiology.
Qualifications
On Satisfactory completion of the course the successful candidate will be presented with an IEB Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology. He/she will also receive a Certificate from The Sue Lincoln School of Holistic Therapies.
