This course is a practical introduction into a broad range of animal-based industries including animal care, agriculture and equine. It gives students the opportunity to specialise as their interests and skills develop. Student’s knowledge is enhanced through working alongside an extensive range of animal species from livestock on our working farm, to rodents and lizards at our diverse Animal Centre. Students will excel with the support of our inspiring lecturers and outstanding support network

How will I study?
- Course units to include: Maintaining The Health And Wellbeing Of Animals, Care Of Farm Animals, Developing Confidence Working With Animals, Cleaning And Maintaining Animal Accommodation, Feedstuffs For Small Animals, Grooming A Small Animal and Moving And Handling Small Animals - Functional Skills Maths and English
How will I be taught?
You will be taught through a mixture of classroom based lessons and practical sessions on the working farm, in our animal centre and on the equine yard.
How will I be assessed?
- Ongoing assessment - Exam based functional skills (written or online)
