This exciting and active course will give you the opportunity to work with and study a variety of animals in both practical and classroom settings. You will have access to reptiles, fish, invertebrates, rodents, birds, farm animals, horses and domestic pets, all of which are either resident on the college site or at our local yard. You will also be able to study exotic species through our excellent links with local wildlife centres and zoos. The course is of a highly practical nature, the emphasis on enabling students to gain as much hands-on experience as possible; students are responsible for the day-to-day requirements of all our animals on site.

The study pattern for this course is highly flexible being offered as an Extended Diploma, Diploma and Subsidiary Diploma. We are the only College within the area offering Animal Management as a Subsidiary Diploma and this is an attractive option to many students, particularly potential vets when studied alongside A level Chemistry, Biology and Maths as the specific experience gained from the course is highly desirable to Universities.
