This course is taught in an applied manner, such that you will spend a considerable amount of your time undertaking practical instruction at Wood Green Animal Shelter with the remaining time spent studying the principles and practices of animal care and management.

Continuous throughout the course in the form of projects, assignments, case studies and unit examinations.

Past students have gained employment in kennels, catteries, pet shops, zoos, veterinary practices and other similar establishments.

Additional information
Fees are incurred by students over the age of 19. Key Skills/Functional Skills - you will be expected to undertake these at the appropriate level. Visits will be made to other animal establishments to extend experience and practice. Transport - students will be expected to be able to make their own way to Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester.
