Programme Features:

• Considerable practical experience with dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs, reptiles and amphibians, birds and fish
• Assessment is mainly carried out while undertaking practical tasks with some oral questioning
• Visits and practical investigations widen the learning experience
• The course also includes the Foundation Welsh Baccalaureate, basic skills literacy and numeracy and Essential Skills IT
• Work experience can improve employment prospects
• Health & Safety is an important part of the course and will be assessed both practically and with a short on-line multi-choice test
• A useful portfolio of all the course units acts as a basic reference resource for future courses or employment
