About this course
A REPs recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructing Qualification (or Exercise to Music) is required prior to commencing this course. This qualification should have been completed within the last 3 years or proof of your current REPs status will also be required.

During pregnancy, many women will be unsure of the appropriate exercise techniques to keep both their babies and their own health to an optimum. (Ante natal). Following birth, many women wish to embark on a new fitness programme to remain fit and healthy but have to now consider changes that have occurred to their body. (Post natal). This specialised workshop will enable you to deliver expert advice to low risk ante/post natal clients, expanding your expertise in other areas and allowing you to work with a wider variety of specialist clients. You will look at anatomical changes that occur during pregnancy, as well as physiological adaptations and psychological considerations of pregnancy. Once completed you will also be able to deliver specific abdominal training recommendations for expecting mothers.
Designed for instructors wishing to work with low risk ante and post natal clients, this two day intensive workshop is taught by one of our qualified tutors and includes an invigilated case study exam at the end of the second day. Your tutor will cover everything you need to know so passing should be a breeze. You must have a valid level 2 REPs qualification before completing this module.

Entry requirements
A REPs recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructing Qualification (or Exercise to Music) is required prior to commencing this course. This qualification should have been completed within the last 3 years or proof of your current REPs status will also be required. An original copy of your certificate(s) will need to be presented to your tutor on your first attendance course or assessment. We recommend that students have been actively working in the industry with a range of clients.
Assessment and certification
The award is assessed against the National Standards for Exercise and Fitness. Students will be required to sit a theory paper as well as completing a case study. The course leads to the Lifetime Special Populations Award and 16 CPD points.
