Course review:
Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the sale by retail or the supply of alcohol will have to hold a personal licence. In order to qualify for a personal licence, an applicant must by law hold a licensing qualification which is:
- Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) accredited, and
- Government approved (DCMS)
The Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, is both QCA and DCMS approved, and has been specifically designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.

Examination
- The examination is closed book with one paper of
- 40 multiple-choice questions
- Candidate has to correctly answer any 28 or more questions within the 60 minutes allowed
- Candidates normally receive their result within 7-10 working days
- For those who do not achieve a pass, a re-sit will be required
On successful assessment of each unit candidates will receive.
- The HABC Level 2 Personal Licence Holders which is QCA approved qualification, and meets the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003. Recognised by all licensing authorities as evidence of the applicant's knowledge and understanding of licensing law and the social responsibilities associated with running licensed premises.
