If you are doing the Masters Degree, you will study the following compulsory modules:

  • ACE8095 Dissertation
  • ACE8102 Experimental design and Statistics for Animal Based Research

If you are doing the Postgraduate Diploma, you will study the following compulsory module:

  • ACE8081 Literature Review
Optional modules

You will take optional modules to the value of 45 credits from the following:

  • ACE8077 Neuronal and Endocrine Mediation of Behaviour
  • ACE8079 Clinical Procedures
  • ACE8084 Abnormal Animal Behaviour
  • ACE8085 Animal Welfare Assessment and Advice

Modules might change for your year of entry. Individual modules can be taken as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).


Entry Requirements

A 2:1 honours degree, or equivalent, in:

  • an area of biological science
  • veterinary science
  • psychology

You should also have extensive experience of domestic and/or captive animal husbandry and training.

You will also be considered on an individual basis if you have a 2:2 honours degree or non-standard qualifications if you have substantial and relevant professional experience.
