A Level
An apprenticeship is a work-based learning programme at level 3 where the learner is 'earning while learning'. The programme is ideally suited to employees who have some element of responsibility within their job role. The Apprentice will be employed and receive at least the national minimum Apprenticeship wage (this could be more at the employer's discretion). The apprentice will attend college on a day release basis and should achieve the level three Apprenticeship Framework within the agreed timescale.

Entry can be from a variety of routes, including: Previously worked in construction eg. as a labourer Welsh Baccalaureate, including the Principal Learning Qualification in Construction and the Built Environment at Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced NVQ Level 2 in a construction occupation A Levels and GCSEs Work experience and a positive attitude Pre-Apprenticeship Learning and 14-19 learning Foundation Apprenticeship in Wood Occupations These programmes are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Course programme
- All learners will be supported by a Training Adviser/Assessor who will monitor progress towards achieving targets on a regular basis
- The Training Adviser/Assessor will liaise closely with the employer to ensure that qualifications are achieved within timescale
- The Training Adviser/Assessor will assess the apprentice in the workplace as and when required
Learners who have successfully completed this Apprenticeship can progress onto a higher apprenticeship at level four, if available.
