Description of the Course
The electrotechnical industry involves the installation, maintenance and repair of electrotechnical equipment from installing electrical systems inside a new building to maintaining machinery on a production line.
This course provides training and the underpinning knowledge for electrical installation which leads to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and a qualification to work as an electrician within the industry.
Course content
The Framework consists of;
City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations

City & Guilds Certificate Stage 1 & 2 -

· Regulations concerning the installation of electrical circuits and equipment in buildings and structures.
· Associated practical, competence and technology.

Assessment
Practical assignments, written and on-line tests, some by multiple choice questions. On site assessment.
Who is the course for?
This course is designed for people working, a minimum 16 hours per week in paid employment, within the electrical contracting industry.

A minimum of Grade D GCSE in English and Mathematics (Science would be an advantage)
What can I do after this course?
After successful completion, progression to Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship subject to entry criteria.

Car park fee £1.00 per visit, stay subject to spaces being available.

This course, at the moment , incurs no fees for 19+ and Adult Apprentices.
