Course Description:
Apprentices or adults wishing to gain a start in the Fabrication and Welding industry. It is necessary for the off the job training for this programme to be supported in company to enable the trainee to develop required skills.

Description Breakdown:
The Intermediate certificate is made up of 7 units, 3 units are common core and 4 units are skills specific to Fabrication & Welding. Assessments will be one external exam plus programmes assessment, either multi choice or short answer questions. Practical elements are tested through skills tests in the college workshop. The PEO will cover 6 which will be assessed through observation of practical skills.
