A Level
An Apprenticeship is a work based learning programme at Level 3 where the learner is 'earning while learning'. The programme is ideally suited to employees who have some element of responsibility within their job role. The Apprentice will be employed and receive at least the minimum apprenticeship wage. The Apprentice will attend college on a block release basis every other week and should achieve the Level 3 Apprenticeship Framework within the agreed timescale.
About this course
The land-based engineering industry wants the entry requirements for the Apprenticeship to be flexible, so therefore has suggested that one of the following should be completed: Level 2 Diploma in Landbased Technology Level 2 Diploma in Work-based Landbased Engineering Level 2 NVQ in Landbased Service Engineering Practical experience within the industry 3 GCSEs (A-C)/A levels. These programmes are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Course programme
- All learners will be supported by a Training Adviser/Assessor who will monitor progress towards achieving targets on a regular basis
- The Training Adviser/Assessor will liaise closely with the employer to ensure that qualifications are achieved within timescale
- The Training Adviser/Assessor will assess the Apprentice in the workplace as and when required
Learners who have successfully completed this Apprenticeship can progress onto a Higher Apprenticeship at Level 4 if available.
