What’s it all about?

Apprenticeships are designed by employers for employers and therefore tailored to meet the needs of a specific sector; Apprenticeships are a form of vocational training enabling people to earn while they learn the skills necessary to succeed in their chosen career.

What types of Apprenticeships are on offer?

Apprenticeships Level 2 (equivalent to five good GCSE passes)

Advanced Apprenticeships Level 3 (equivalent to two A-Level passes)

What do Apprenticeships lead to?

An Apprenticeship is not a qualification in itself, but is a framework that contains the following separately certificated elements; NVQ, BTEC, Key Skills & Employment Rights & Responsibilities

Who is eligible to do an Apprenticeship?

YOUNG Apprenticeships – UK Wide

- Available to anyone between 16-18 years old

- Living in England

- Not currently in full time education

- Not working on a Visa

ADULT Apprenticeships – Cheshire & Merseyside area only (as of July 2010)

- Available to anyone 25 years and over

- Living in England

- Not currently in full time education

- Not working on a Visa

- Does not hold a University Degree

- Working in the Public Sector*

* Examples of the Public Sector include Civil Service, Local Borough Councils, Education & Teaching, NHS, Emergency Services & Armed Forces and any publicly owned organisations.

How much will an Apprenticeship cost?

As a preferred training we receive our funding from the Skills Funding Agency , as a result ALL of the training that will take place over the duration of the programme will be covered at no cost to the employer.

Apprentices however will be employed and as an employee paid a salary that reflects their skills, experience and ability. The minimum salary that can be paid to an Apprentice is £95 a week. This is only a minimum however, employers may wish to increase this amount dependant on hours worked or if an existing employee is already earning more a week.

How long will an Apprenticeship take to complete?

As a training provider we have an 89% achievement rate of getting learners completed on their course of choice with the estimated timescales.

Business Administration, Customer Service, Contact Centre & ITQ 6-8 months to complete

Health & Social Care and Child Care Learning & Development 10-12 months to complete.
