    A Level

An apprenticeship is a work based learning programme at level three where the learner is 'earning while learning'. The programme is ideally suited to employees who have some element of responsibility within their job role. The apprentice will be employed and receive at least the minimum apprenticeship wage. The apprentice will attend college on a day release basis and should achieve the level three Apprenticeship Framework within the agreed timescale. The apprenticeship programme is available in both light and Heavy vehicle routes.

About this course

Progresssion into this Level 3 apprenticeship can be from a wide range of routes including: Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Work or work experience Training and/or experience which could include a portfolio showing what they have done These programmes are part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Course programme

  • All learners will be supported by a Training Adviser/Assessor who will monitor progress towards achieving targets on a regular basis
  • The Training Adviser/Assessor will liaise closely with the employer to ensure that qualifications are achieved within timescale
  • The Training Adviser/Assessor will assess the apprentice in the workplace as and when required

Learners who have successfully completed this apprenticeship can progress on to a Higher Apprenticeship at level four if appropriate.
