Course programme

Overview

Supply Chain Operators work with the movement of goods in the warehouse and in an office and also assist with moving goods in and out of the business, locally, nationally and internationally.  Supply Chain Operators may also work within other business functions such as procurement, purchasing, import and export, and finance.

Employment opportunities for Supply Chain Operators can be found with most companies manufacturing or distributing goods, or service providers such as freight forwarders and 3rd party logistics providers.

Unit topics include

  • Health, safety and security at work
  • Monitoring the flow of supplies
  • Place and monitor orders with suppliers
  • Processing transport documentation
  • Select suppliers.
  • Control supplies at storage locations.
  • Administer contracts

Entry Requirements

An apprentice should be employed in a role where they can be assessed in the workplace and should be able to provide evidence from the job role for assessment against the qualification criteria.

Candidates must have GCSE Grade D or above. Candidates with less than C grades in Maths and English will need to work towards Functional Skills Level 2 as part of the apprenticeship.
