As an apprentice you will spend all of your time working for an employer and learning in the workplace. There is no need for you to attend College.

To achieve the Apprenticeship you will need to complete a number of
qualifications including the NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading, a Technical Certificate and Functional Skills*. To achieve the NVQ 2 in Team Leading, you will complete a number of units which could include:

· Improving your team†s performance
· Developing the skills of individual team members
· Effective communication
· Developing good working relationships.

How will I be assessed?
Assessments are carried out through practical skills assessments and observations of you at work. A Personal Assessor will make regular visits to your workplace to carry out reviews of your progress and to ensure that you are on target to gain your qualifications.

How long will it take?

The time taken for you to achieve your Apprenticeship will depend on how well you get on at work, but most of all, it will depend on your commitment and motivation to complete your training. As a general rule, this Apprenticeship will take 9-15 months.

Achieving this Apprenticeship will give you the equivalent of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C.

*You may be exempt if you have recently achieved a good grade in English Language and Maths at GCSE.
