Cost
There are no cost for technicians under the age of 19. Technicians age 19+ will incur a fee that the employer is expected to pay.
The Programme
The programme consists of theory and practical related subjects and is taught on a block release basis. Generally there are nine one week blocks in each year. During the apprentice programme technicians will have to complete a technical certificate, key skills and an NVQ at the required level. At the end of the 3rd year technicians will be able to complete the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) scheme. Assessment will be written, on line and observed practicals.
