About this course

You should have four GCSEs at Grade D including English, Maths and Science, or a relevant Level 1 Qualification and be employed in the industry.

Apprenticeship in Welding Level 2 and also Functional Skills at the relevant level.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

You will choose one of three route ways:

ENG0068P - Welding and Fabrication

ENG0083P - Performing Manufacturing Operations

ENG0084P - Performing Engineering Operations

You will explore engineering theory and practice hands-on skills you develop in the workplace in a test environment. Ideal if you are employed in a mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, electronic engineering, welding, fabrication, performing manufacturing operations or performing engineering operations role.

Additional information

The 2800 level 2 technical certificate will be on a Monday from 9.00am - 4.00pm. The day will be split between classroom theoretical studies and workshop practical training. The PEO course runs from September till June with students attending college one day a week (Wed) for 30 weeks. Students will complete three mandatory core units and three optional practical units.
