Your Course
This level continues to build up necessary grammar skills that will enable students to understand, read, write and translate sentences and paragraphs. It also aims to improve oral communication skills to satisfy everyday needs.
Grammar points include adverbs, numbers (11-100), counting, and plural patterns, past, present and future forms of verbs. Students will learn to correctly use present and past tenses along with more complex vocabulary and grammar.
All students will be registered for the OCR Asset languages (Breakthrough) award in listening. The assessment will be in a normal lesson.
The course book is"Mastering Arabic", by Jane Wighwick & Mahmoud Gaafar. ISBN 0-333-49037-1, chapters 13-19.

Your Tutor
Hudo Tello-Kuwaider is a native speaker of Arabic language from Damascus, Syria where she obtained a BA degree in English Literature. She taught English as a Foreign Language at an International school in Damascus for one year and in 1992 she began teaching Arabic and Islamic studies at the Syrian Community School in London. She has also given private tuition (Arabic) to non natives. She has recently obtained the PTLLS Award [Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector] from Hills Road Sixth Form Centre. She is currently working for the OCR and CIE as an item writer, moderator and editor.

Tuition fees: £100
Method of payment: Fees for short courses (10 weeks or less) to be paid in full at enrolment and for long courses (12 weeks or more) fees of 50% can be paid at enrolment plus 50% as a cheque. Course places cannot be reserved without receipt of both payments.
