Course programme

Arboriculture Foundation degree (FdSc) Location Start Date Day Time Fees Duration Pershore Sep-2016 Various 09:30 - 16:45 see below 2Year(s) What will I study?

This course is ideal for those who wish to further their arboriculture experience and knowledge. The course is designed to enable graduates to be 'work ready' and FdSc students will be required to undertake a minimum of ten weeks of work placement within the arboriculture sector as part of their course (unless they are already employed in an appropriate role).

All modules are delivered by staff with substantial experience in amenity arboriculture.  Arboriculture involves the establishment and maintenance of trees in a wide range of situations, including private gardens, parks, woodlands and public spaces.  Although it can include tree surgery, careers in arboriculture range from local authority tree officers to management of private estates, and consultancy.  As part of the course, you will have the chance to gain practical arboricultural skills, however, due to the breadth of the arboriculture industry, this is not the main focus of the course.

The course is taught at Pershore College, utilising the excellent facilities and extensive tree collection.
