Course Content: (Year 1) This course is partly about the discovery of treasures of the past, partly the meticulous work of the detective and partly the exercise of the creative imagination. Archaeology is both a physical activity out in the field and an intellectual pursuit. During this course you will consider the nature of past societies, human achievements, ritual practice, hidden codes, moral values and contemporary issues.
