We will begin by teaching you the basic technical drawing skills and show you how to interpret and draw plans, sections and elevations. You will carry out a simple building survey, understand drawing conventions, annotate, use draft equipment, and use these skills to prepare your own simple plan and section. You will then move on to consider more technically advanced representations, combining the skills from drawing the plan and the section a 3 dimensional axonometric drawing will be produced of a staircase. Your tutor will also discuss and demonstrate the difference between a variety of drawings from planning drawings, tender drawings and construction drawings.
