What does the course involve?
You will learn the history and theory of aromatherapy to include methods of extraction, properties uses and basic chemical structure of a range of oils. Practical application of the oils in a massage session to assist your client's health and well being.

What will I study?
The aim of the course is to give a sound knowledge of all aspects of aromatherapy to enable practitioners to work effectively and safely with essential oils. The course will develop practical skills in applying Aromatherapy massage and covers the related theory for the safe blending of essential oils and maintenance of employment standards. Developing practical skills in our commercial environment you will be expected to work with clients and build a portfolio of theory work. Anatomy and physiology and safe working practices are studied to ensure sound foundations for your new skills. Written assessments and ongoing practical observations are taken throughout the course. Directed learning and independent study are also features of this course.

Is there a lower level? No, the course starts at Level 3 but we would highly recommend studying the Level 2 Certificate in Holistic Therapies first.
