Aromatherapy VTCT Diploma Level 3

Course Overview
As this is an intensive part time course of study, students will be required to carryout additional practical and theoretical study at home.

As this is a vocational course of study students are required to initially practice all treatments on each other until proficient. Following practice students will be required to work on all types of clients and genders in the RWE. 30 sessions of case studies are required to be completed as home study. Excellent attendance and punctuality is required for all vocational qualifications.
The programme is delivered over 36 weeks.Attendance will be on Tuesdays, 6pm â€" 9pm commencing in September 2009. All practical work will be carried out in the College's Beauty Treatment Rooms.
A professional dress code is necessary to meet the awarding body requirements; as such excellent personal presentation is essential.

College/Sector rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times in the section.

Qualification Aims
VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy
VTCT Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards.

Assessments/Examinations
Continual written and practical assessments/assignments in both theory and practical aspects of the course. Practical assessments are carried out in a realistic work environment (RWE) on fee-paying clients. A portfolio of evidence is compiled throughout the course and submitted for final verification.

Heath, Safety, Security & Employment Standards are assessed by external multiple choice papers.
