Aim This exciting 1 year course provides you with a broad range of practical skills relating to the creative industries. The core units give you the opportunity to learn about art, design and media, advertising, graphics, textiles, photography. You will also get a chance to work with one of our design partners as part of a work based project.
Content
The course is made up of principle learning units and one specialist unit.
Assessment is continuous throughout the course. All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.

Progression/career opportunities
This course provides an excellent grounding to move onto the Level 3 New Diploma in Creative & Media or the Level 3 Diploma in Fashion & Clothing, Art & Design, Photography or Graphics. This can in turn lead to Foundation Degrees and BA (Hons) Degrees in a range of art and design subjects. See our Higher Education Prospectus.

Screening
Students will also be screened (in the College) and must achieve literacy and numeracy at the level appropriate to the course.
