The course primarily focuses on multi-media, investigating the areas of Cinematography, Photography, Film Editing, Film Analysis, Advertising Art, Photoshop, Director, CD ROM Design and Video Editing. It also includes - Research Projects: Investigation and illustration of a set topic through sketchbook work and multi-media. The production of a brief advert supported by a sketchbook. Personal Study: An illustrated essay on a relevant topic such as a film analysis. Controlled Assignment: Investigation and illustration of a chosen topic to be completed in a limited time. Unit 1: Portfolio Topic list Candidates work to a brief and produce photographic designs suitable for commercial application such as:
· Advertising;
· Packaging;
· Logos/Corporate Identity;
· Information Graphics;
· Magazine Design;
· Television/Film Graphics. Unit 2: Externally Set Assignment An externally-set assignment. Separate question papers for each endorsement containing different exciting starting points. Candidates choose one.
