Art Clay Certification Level 1 (3 days)

An intensive 3-Day course which will take your work in Metal Clay to the next level!

Please note: This class is not suitable for absolute beginners you do need to at least have had a go at working with PMC or Art Clay before taking this course.

This intensive certification class runs over three days and provides a wide base of knowledge for anyone interested in taking their work in art clay to the next level. It is suitable for anyone who has had some previous experience in working with metal clay, which could be either a beginners class or having a go at home.

Throughout the class you will develop a good working knowledge of the different Art Clay Silver products available, the basic techniques on how to work with them, embellishing our pieces with stones and findings, firing temperatures and times and how to give your work a professional finished look.

You will learn about making rings, creating hollow forms shapes using cork clay, adding silver findings, setting stones, pearls and using the syringe, as well as how to polish and burnish your pieces. After successfully completing all seven projects in the course you will receive your certificate, which also entitles you to teach Art Clay Introductory Classes with the support of Art Clay World UK.

If you do not complete all the seven certification projects successfully you will be required to re-do and submit pieces after the class.

The course fees include all materials, certification fees and a class tool kit to keep.
