Our friendly, relaxing Art Experience Days are aimed at anyone with a need to take a day out of everyday life. It doesn't require any knowledge of art to participate in this most relaxing of days. We want to help you to look at things differently, to 'zoom in' on nature and to bring forth your hidden creativity and teach you how to use this as a tool to help you wind down, relax and maybe even find your 'inner artist'. 3 to 12 people.£190 each. Jenny Quinn gained her B.A. (Hons) in Graphic Design from the Bath Academy of Art and after working in London for several studios, Jenny returned to Swindon to take up a career as a freelance illustrator. She was successful in winning commissions for a variety of products that mainly featured her work in watercolour paintings of cats and flowers. To date her work has been sold through many galleries culminating in exhibiting in her own gallery in Swindon.

After 4 years at Swindon Art College studying for her Diploma in Graphic Art & Design and S.I.A.D. membership, Julie went on to have a successful career working her way up to be head-hunted for a Design Studio Manager position. Julie is now freelance and produces many different styles of art. She has also taught various styles of art in private classes for children, adults and seniors. Another passion of Julies is website design where she can combine her creative skills of graphic design, logo design and user-friendly search engine optimisation.

One-day Art Experience: learn to relax through your creativity.

You don't need to be artistic to attend one of our Art Experience Days. Our aim is to help you learn how to relax and de-stress through your creativity and have a wonderful and memorable experience.

We will help you to totally escape from the stress at home and the workplace so you can use your art experience as a calming and therapeutic day.

Our Art Experience Days are held in a historic Jacobean mansion in the picturesque village of Bibury set in the beautiful, serene and inspirational countryside of the Cotswolds. Join us and escape for a day of luxury and learning.

10.00am......Meeting in the drawing room you will be given a very warm welcome when you arrive, also coffee and croissants to help start the relaxation process.

10.30am......We will start by showing you some examples of our art styles and then we will go on to speak about how different aspects of art can help you relax and bring you relief from stress. This will hopefully enable you to gain a different perspective of everyday things. We will also give you advice on other ways to relax and de-stress at work and at home.

11.30am......We will go for a walk along the river Coln, through the glorious grounds of the hotel and beyond to give you inspiration for your afternoon painting.

12.30pm......On our return from the walk we will gather in the conservatory (or on the terrace, weather permitting) for a tasty two course lunch from the table d'hote menu.

1.30pm.........After lunch you will begin your own acrylic painting onto stretched canvas and don't worry, we will provide constant help, advice and encouragement along the way.

3.30pm........We will stop for a short while for afternoon tea.

5.00pm........Time to stop and reflect on the days achievements and we do hope your experience has a positive lasting effect on you so you can now relax through your creativity...

When the day is over you will be able to take home your own original 'work of art'.

You will also be presented with a folder of useful information and advice relating to your day.

All materials, refreshments and meals are included.

9 to 12 people £190 each, 5 to 8 people £230 each, 3 to 4 people £270 each. Our Art Experience Days can be booked on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year. The beauty of the ever-changing seasons make it a wonderful day for you whatever time of year you choose. If you would prefer a different day of the week please contact us and we will do our best to arrange something to suit you.
