Course programme

This course will provide you with an introduction to the role of arts organisations. You will be introduced to the processes involved with setting up an arts organisation and start to learn about how you could start to build your own business plan. Through presentations, exercises case studies and feedback, you will consider and discuss different types of arts organisation models. Learn about funding stream possibilities. And understand what is involved with planning, organising and delivering a programme of arts events, exhibitions and workshops. Between classes you will be asked to complete a short task, involving research. This will help you to evaluate and identify areas for personal development and get you started with the beginnings of a business strategy.
