Who is this course for?
This course is for any person who wishes to further their knowledge in mathematics.
What will I learn?
AS Modular Mathematics - this requires you to study six modules which are selected from pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics.A2 Modular Mathematics - this requires you to study six modules which are selected from pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics.
Assessment
There are two examination sessions each year, in January and June. The examination for each module is 1 hour and 30 minutes long. Terminal modules - no modules are specifically designated as 'terminal', but you must take two units at the end of each course.
On Completion Achievement / Progression
On completion of the AS you could progress to A2 mathematics. On successful completion of A2 mathematics you could use this qualification as part of the entry requirements for higher education. The study of mathematics is a good basis for many careers.

Requirement

Students wishing to take this subject as part of the full-time provision should complete a college application form on receipt of which we will invite you to the college for an informal interview where you will have the opportunity to talk with the tutors. You will also take a literacy and numeracy
