Students take AS/A2 Psychology alongside both Science and Humanities subjects. In English Literature, for example, Psychology will help you to analyse and interpret poems, novels and plays. If you are considering university, Psychology can be invaluable as it combines aspects of Science and Arts/Humanities. Psychology is an asset if you are aiming for careers such as journalism, nursing or marketing, where people are the focus.

At Paston you can join the Psychology Film Society, watching and discussing movies with a psychological theme. You may also attend conferences. Last year students went to a conference on Criminal Psychology and heard one of the UKs only offender profilers.

Why should you study Psychology? The course is taught by specialist, enthusiastic staff who have a wealth of experience in getting students to achieve high grades. We have had a student gain one of the top ten grades in the country.

Psychology is my favourite subject that I am studying its great because I can apply what I learn to things in my own life. Lizzie Langton (continuing studies at Paston at A2)

I love Psychology, especially learning about prejudice and why certain groups in todays society may have negative feelings against another group. Levi Fisher (continuing studies at Paston at A2).
