About this course
For part time study you will need a grade C in Spanish GCSE or equivalent. You must already have successfully completed or be studying for AS level Spanish in order to study for the A2 level qualification.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
The course is for mature students (over 19 years), re-sit A level students, and anyone with a good GCSE grade or experience of languages. The course provides a sound understanding of the structure of the Spanish language and culture. The content is suitable for those who use a foreign language when travelling, for their work or for those going into Higher Education.
These courses run at Wigston Campus, in conjunction with Leicester College.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will develop both written and oral skills through the study of texts and recordings, dealing with current events, everyday situations and issues of general and topical interest.
The course comprises of 6 units taught and examined in the foreign language. There are three AS and three A2 units.
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes on Mondays from 6.30pm 9.30pm. In addition you will need to spend at least 5 hours per week on coursework at home or in college.
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
On successful completion of the course and examinations you will achieve AS/A2 level Spanish.

3a930-09 Course fees 10 16-18 year olds, 345(101) 19 years and over
Course fees are payable on enrolment. Costs shown in brackets are for those on income-based benefits. Refunds are not normally available.

Additional costs may occur at various times of the year.
WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
Combined with other A levels or equivalent qualifications you can gain entry to Higher Education. There may also be various employment opportunities.
