2. Course description This is a varied and exciting course where you will be introduced to a range of stimulating experiences and will explore a range of two and three-dimensional media, processes and techniques, in at least two of the areas listed above. You will experience studio work, off-site location work, study trips and live briefs. You will be issued with exciting project briefs throughout the year, with design based outcomes. It will give you an understanding of the importance of visual awareness to the quality of our lives, and an appreciation of the historical and contemporary links to other artists' and designers' work.

3. Entry requirements You should have a grade C or above in GCSE English, and preferably a grade C in Art, or Graphic Design. If you have not taken any art subjects at GCSE, you should have a portfolio, or examples of work you have done. We can then advise you on your suitability for the AS/A Level course.
