In Business Studies, you will literally do what it says! You will study businesses and how they operate, how firms market their products, how they manage their staff, and how they ensure that they make a profit. This course will provide you with the tools to think as a business manager and apply your ideas to the real world. Suitable for: The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in businesses and the way they operate. It is particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a career in Business Management or Finance. AS and A level Business Studies combine particularly well with Economics and / or Accounts.

About this course
Students must have a minimum of 5 A-C individual GCSE subject passes, including a minimum of 2 grade Bs one of which must be English Language and a C in Maths

Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for anyone who is interested in businesses and the way they operate. It is particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a career in Business Management or Finance.

How long & often do I attend?
You will need to attend 3 sessions each week (4.5hrs).
How will I be assessed?
The subject is assessed through examinations in each year which consist of a mixture of data response questions, case studies, reports and essays. There is no coursework component to the course.
What opportunities will this lead to?
You could progress on to a BA Hons degree in Accounting and Finance, Business, Management, Marketing, Personnel Management or Teaching. Following this you could enter employment in a business environment in a senior administrative role.
