What does the course consist of?
  • Practical elements (50% of total A-Level mark)
    · Dance performance and Choreographic skills are demonstrated through performance of short dance pieces in moderated conditions.
  • Theoretical Elements (50% of total A-Level mark)
    · Understanding of physical and interpretive skills needed for performance and choreographic theory that enables a dance idea to be communicated are examined through the written papers. Appreciation and understanding of professional works across ballet, modern contemporary and musical theatre genres are also assessed.
