2. Course description The A level course looks at aspects of the reigns of the Tudor and Stuart monarchs from the reign of Henry VII in 1485 to the civil wars in England in the 1640s and the later Stuart monarchs. There will be the opportunity to study European history.

3. Entry requirements You must have at least a grade C (or equivalent) at GCSE in English Language and History. We prefer you to have taken History at school, but if you haven't, please contact the Course Leader (see Further Information on the next page).Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the study of the past are the basic requirements, together with initiative and the capacity to work hard, as part of a group and independently.
